4th of July Celebration & PRCA Rodeo

Since the 1850s folks from all over Texas have come to celebrate the 4th of July in Belton. This week-long celebration draws over 50,000 and features one of USA Today’s Top Ten Parades in the country, the Festival on Nolan Creek, a carnival, Texas Ole Time Fiddlers’ Contest, Patriotic Program, and Kick-off BBQ, with the

Market Days

Shop among a variety of vendors who offer everything from antiques and handmade jewelry to unique clothing and Texas BBQ. Every third Saturday, downtown Belton is lined with outdoor booths along Central Avenue beginning at Penelope Street. This event is sponsored by the Downtown Belton Merchants Association. Farmers Market

Central Texas State Fair

The annual Central Texas State Fair kicks off Labor Day weekend at the Bell County Expo Center. This four-day event is packed with entertainment and attractions including a carnival with nightly armband specials, double point livestock shows (steer, heifer, goat, lamb, pig), a petting zoo, sidewalk comedy show, military night, professional bull riding in the air-conditioned dome, food, commercial booths, arts and crafts, live music on the outdoor stage, and much more with something fun for the entire family to enjoy. Bell County Youth Fair and Livestock Show

The Bell County Youth Fair and Livestock Show, Inc., held at the Bell County Expo Center, was founded in the 1950s and has grown into one of the largest county shows in Central Texas. Christmas on the Chisholm Trail

Christmas on the Chisholm Trail is an annual, family fun-filled event with holiday flare. Located on the Nolan Creek in Yettie Polk Park, this event is packed with seasonal vendors and food. Area children await the arrival of Santa while local music entertainment fills the air. A 30 foot Christmas tree and the lighted Hike and Bike Trail add to the festive atmosphere. Nature in Lights at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area (BLORA)

Nature in Lights is a drive-through extravaganza featuring 130 holiday displays which will delight you and your family.  While there, you can visit Santa’s Village and take a picture with Santa himself. Texas Western Swing Fiddling Showcase

This annual event is featured by the Texas Western Swing Heritage Association at the Bell County Expo Center the first Saturday of March. The purpose of the event is to promote this ‘Texas born’ music and assemble extremely talented musicians on the stage featuring Grammy Award winners, Hall of Fame musicians, World Champion fiddlers, and recording artists.
