Belton Chamber Board Announces New President/CEO
The Belton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced today that Interim President Mark Arrazola has accepted the position as President/CEO of the BACC. This announcement is the culmination of an extensive search process lead by the Board’s hiring committee and unanimously supported by the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
“As a Chamber, our purpose is to stimulate growth for businesses and people. Mark’s leadership, experience and passion for our membership and community will amplify a Chamber that is already thriving,” said Robert Potts, Chairman of the BACC Board.
Mr. Arrazola has been with the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce for nine years and will assume the position immediately. Arrazola is a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and serves on its Young Alumni Board. He is also a member of Belton Lion’s Club and attends Liberty Church.
“I am honored and grateful to have this opportunity,” said Arrazola. “I am truly thankful for the Board’s confidence, and I’m excited for the future of the Chamber.”
The Belton Area Chamber of Commerce was established in 1936 and today is made up of over 500 members. The mission of the BACC is to serve as an advocate and resource in Workforce Development, Economic Development, Leadership Development, Marketing and Business Development and Networking Development in the Belton area.
Arrazola succeeds President/CEO Stephanie O’Banion who has taken a position with United Way of Central Texas as Vice President of Resource Development.
